WELCOME TO WALLPAPER TO GO!

Just a couple of clicks on the mouse will transform your desktop into a tranquil landscape scene!

The pictures featured here are absolutely free for you to use as wallpaper on your computer desktop. If you don't know how to go about changing the wallpaper on your system or what size resolution your desktop is, just click the 'How To Do It' button for full instructions.

All of the scenes here are landscapes. Note that they are all of very high quality, and therefore might take a minute or two to load once you've picked one, but hopefully you'll find it worth the wait. They are divided into the categories shown below, which you can navigate using the buttons on the left.

The Favourites

Wisley Collection

Pictures taken at The Royal Horticultural Centre Headquarters, Wisley. If you fancy an English country garden view, this is THE place.

Others

A NEW sunset, a lake in Sussex, a view of Barnes in South London and a shot of Comet Hale-Bopp.

CHANGING THE WAY WINDOWS 95/98 LOOKS
If you like the colour scheme and gold effects used here, you can customise your entire Windows 95/98 layout with animated buttons and effects. To do so you need a small program called 'WindowBlinds'. The good news is that the software is free, and once installed allows you to pick a theme from the hundreds of 'skins' available (also free). Many of the themes are aimed at the gaming community, but there are plenty for all tastes.

The theme 'Gold Plated Walnut' (shown here on the left) was designed to compliment the wallpapers available here. To download and install WindowBlinds plus the Gold Plated Walnut theme only takes about 10 minutes.

HOW TO INSTALL IT
Just click on the screenshot to download the zipped file (goldplated2.zip 102Kb). Just 'save it to disk', don't attempt to open it or unzip it. Then go to WindowBlinds and download WindowBlinds 1.3 by clicking on the 'Files' link, and then the 'Download.com' icon. The file should take about 5 minutes to download. Once again save it onto your hard disk. Then double click on the Wblind13.exe file in Windows Explorer or My Computer to install it. Once WindowBlinds has been installed on your system, use the 'Install New Skins' button to add the Goldplated theme that you saved previously. You can also download other skins from the WindowBlinds site if you want to. It will completely transform the way your Windows looks, and can easily be uninstalled or disabled if you subsequently find that you don't like it.
