An interesting point came up when we were discussing the following. If a V8 is an SC400, and a 3 litre is an SC300, does that make a twin turbo an SC250? The answer is No. In fact the Toyota Soarer is not known by a model number at all in Japan. Regardless of engine size, It's just Toyota Soarer. We tend to attribute the American model numbers to their nearest Japanese equivalents. Or at least, I certainly did when I started up this club. Not that anybody will really mind if you make that connection. And furthermore, if you want to stick a Lexus badge on it, well it is your car after all. You can call it Eric if you want to.

Below you'll find the official figures for what you've got and what's in it. Quote them to a Lexus dealer when you're trying to order parts, and you should find that they will miraculously know what you are talking about all of a sudden.
